What's On

The Salvation Army in the Forest of Dean organise a wide range of activities each week.

We work to provide opportunities for people to meet together, and seek to provide support to the local communities where we work.

Our Cafe at Broadwell Hub takes place every Tuesday and Friday between 10am and 2pm, where we serve a range of hot food. On Mondays we are also open between 10am and 2pm for drinks and homemade cakes.

Our Sunday worship takes place at the URC in Littledean. We meet at 4.30pm for drinks and cake with worship starting at 5pm.

Knit & Natter

Every Monday between 11am and 2pm we run Knit and Natter. Come and join our friendly (if rowdy) group of people and share your knitting or crocheting skills and learn new techniques - as well as making new friends!.

Iron Sharpens Iron

Our Bible Study takes place on Tuesdays from 7pm at Broadwell Hub.

(Growth and Learning Equine Assisted Ministry)
The aim of this project is to grow confidence and develop key skills, such as establishing trust, communicating effectively, managing energy/arousal levels, setting and maintaining safe and appropriate boundaries, recognising, understanding and moderating emotions and developing an approach to life that fosters an attitude of respect and gentle leadership.

The project is for young people who would benefit from working in an environment which is stimulating and challenging on an individual basis, yet offers mentoring support from a team of consistent adults and horses as facilitators. We will serve young people with emotional, behavioural, spiritual, and social challenges.

Activ8 / Homework Club

Our club designed for kids takes place on Thursdays between 3.15pm and 5.30pm at the URC in Littledean.

Running alongside our open Cafe, our pottery sessions run on Fridays between 11am and 1pm and are suitable for beginners through to advanced.

Cookery Courses

Learn to cook meals and desserts from scratch. Sessions are held in the kitchen at the Broadwell Hub. Contact us for costs and further information.
